Help for a computer that is not managed yet.

A new laptop or a first support enquiry may need help before ongoing care is set up. Quick Support gives an arranged support session a temporary route to the Windows computer, with the person at the desk involved.

Arrange a support session with your provider.

A small download. A code. A person to help.

Arrange the help with your support provider first. They guide you through running the small Quick Support download and sharing the session code so they can help with the problem on screen.

  • Useful for a Windows computer that does not have the managed agent.
  • Designed for temporary attended help.
  • The managed agent is not left installed after the session.

Start with the problem in front of you

A home user has an unfamiliar laptop and an application that will not behave. The support provider can arrange a temporary session, investigate with them and explain whether regular computer care would be useful afterwards.

  • Home users can ask about friendly ongoing care.
  • Businesses can discuss the computers their team relies on.
  • Support companies can use the same route for a device outside the managed estate.

Temporary help and everyday care do different jobs

Quick Support helps with the arranged session. Continuous monitoring, planned maintenance and automatic supported fixes require the appropriate managed setup and agreed service.

  • Quick Support does not continuously monitor the computer.
  • Managed-agent tools such as privacy mode and eligible administrative file transfers are not automatically included in a temporary session.
  • Confirm Windows support, the session controls and any charges with the provider before starting.
